Assistant Construction Project Coordinator
Job Description
Matern Staffing is hiring an Assistant Project Coordinator for a fast-growing construction company specializing in the installation of interior hardware for residential clients. This position is located in Fredericksburg, VA and supports the successful planning, coordination, and execution of construction projects from start to finish.
In this role, you’ll work closely with the Project Manager to keep projects organized, on schedule, and moving forward. From coordinating labor and materials to communicating with clients and internal teams, you’ll play a key role in ensuring projects run smoothly and client expectations are met.
This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, highly organized professional who enjoys juggling multiple priorities and contributing to the success of residential construction projects.
Salary:
- $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
- Monday – Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm
- Coordinate project tasks, resources, and schedules
- Break projects into clear actions and timelines
- Communicate with clients and internal teams on project status
- Track progress, budgets, risks, and resolve issues
- Manage procurement, contracts, and project documentation
- Ensure quality standards and requirements are met
- Ability to read blueprints and basic construction knowledge preferred
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively
- Detail-oriented with excellent follow-through and accuracy
- Curious, solutions-focused mindset with interest in process improvement
- Proactive self-starter with strong time management and prioritization skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and QuickBooks for accurate recordkeeping
